Customer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - One of My All Time Favorites
This is a replacement cd for one that got scratched up from love and use. I highly recommend it to anyone who likes acapella singing or just good fun music!

Customer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - All four on the floor... hands down winners!
This group has always left me in awe. They are, as others have said, the quintessential accapella group of all time.
This collection is fantastic. It showcases their talent very very well.
However, it really doesn't do them justice. In all honesty it would be very difficult to choose which songs represent their talent and collect them onto a single CD.
Therefore, I think a two CD set should be compiled... but wait.. a three disc set would be awesome! What about a box set???
Okay... I think you get the picture.
For anyone who loves Accapella or Doo Wop, this is the group for you. There truly is no other group out there to compare them to. Once you listen, I am sure you'll agree.
They are polished, practiced, synchronized and harmonized to perfection. Despite the changes within the group, they still are fantastic.
This CD is a good place to start... but please, don't stop there. Every disc they have put out is worth the purchase.

Customer Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - One caveat...
The Nylons are spectacular singers - fun and inventive, but this collection is missing my all-time favorite Nylons song: "This Island Earth". It's one of the most touching and inspiring environmental message songs ever, and it's on the CD "Happy Together".

Customer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - The Quintessential a Cappella Group
Since 1978 The Nylons have been dazzling their fans with stunning a cappella performances across a wide range of music. If this were an American group and not Canadian, they'd be a lot better known.

With nothing but their voices and some percussion, The Nylons rock and soar across a wide spectrum of music. Their are moments that are simply transcendant. This isn't doo-wop, and it absolutely isn't chamber music. This is rock and roll powered by four knockout voices and knock-your-socks-off rhythms.

This 1993 compilation is a fine introduction to almost 20 years of albums. The harmonies on "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" are wonderful, and redefine the song. You think James Taylor's downbeat "Up on the Roof" is fine? Wait until you hear The Nylons. Whether it is funky gospel like "Prince of Darkness" or plain fun like "Poison Ivy," The Nylons are clearly having fun and invite you to share it.

Kudos to Windham Hill for adding this album to their library. Buy it, crank the volume up and hear human voices that can shake the dust loose.

On paper, the Mio DigiWalker P550 looks to be an attractive gadget for the mobile professional, combining the capabilities of a PDA and GPS into one device. However, its poor battery life and subpar navigation skills tell a different story.

Though it won't appeal to the masses quite yet, the Nokia N800 Internet Tablet is a nice, portable device for on-the-go Web browsing, and it has some worthy upgrades.

Though it has a few design and performance glitches, the Sony Ericsson W300i is a quality, basic MP3 cell phone.

Diesel vehicles have nearly a 50-percent market share in Europe, thanks to tax incentives and diesel-friendly legislation across the EU. Diesels are so passé there that you can buy a BMW 730d and no one will think it odd that your luxury car burns oil. Pull up in a diesel 7-Series in America and people would leer at you like you've alighted from an amphibious vehicle reeking of saltwater and dead trout.

But now, thanks to the oft-reported combo of newly-raised CAFE standards, not-so-newly-raised gas prices, and the 50-state diesel engine, GM, Ford, and Chrysler are about to dip more than a hesitant toe into the diesel game. Chrysler offers a diesel in the Grand Cherokee, but soon all three automakers will offer diesels in their best-selling lineups of light trucks -- the Dodge Ram 1500 is expected to offer a 50-state diesel after 2009. Light trucks are being used to lead the charge since those buyers stand to gain the most with the least amount of (perceived) sacrifice.

Diesels currently have 3.2-percent of the American market. Some estimates put them at 15-percent by 2015. That's a huge leap, and diesel still has plenty of hurdles. Diesels will come with a cost premium over gasoline-engined cars. That should be easy enough to conquer -- incentives and some quick cost and longevity calculations should convince people of the benefit. The real hurdle is the nagging issue of perception. The plan will probably be to attack that with a price that makes the proposition unbeatable. Said Chrysler's director of environmental affairs, "If it's priced right, we can sell diesel here. Diesel can give you an immediate poke in fuel economy -- 20 to 40 percent. Not many technologies can deliver that today."
