Editorial Product Review: :No Description AvailableNo Track Information AvailableMedia Type: CDArtist: PINK FLOYDTitle: ECHOES-BEST OF PINK FLOYDStreet Release Date: 11/06/2001DomesticGenre: ROCK/POP :Echoes is a double-CD collection of some of Pink Floyd's best songs. It's also a fascinating document of the band's history. They began life as Syd Barrett's phantasmagoric plaything before clasping the wings of Icarus and ascending toward the sun on an epic space-rock odyssey, eventually turning left once they reached the dark side of the moon and burning up ...

Editorial Product Review:Album Details:Same as USA Version. essential recording:'I'm ready / Ready for what's next,' Bono announces at the outset of Achtung Baby, the album that proved the so-called 'band of the '80s' was capable of blazing into the '90s by replacing its flag-waving arena-rock stance with screaming synths, clubby rhythms, and industrial skronk. The group advances its sound without losing accessibility on 'Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses,' 'Even Better Than the Real Thing,' and 'Mysterious Ways,' while pushing ...

Hell Freezes Over

Editorial Product Review: :Indeed, there were many who thought that it would take an event as cataclysmic as the one described in the album title to get these seminal '70s soft-rockers back together. But here they are, revisiting some of their most beloved tunes as well as four new ones, on this mostly live, largely acoustic disc. Frey, Henley, Walsh, Schmit, and Felder tackle iconic Eagles standards like 'Hotel California,' 'Tequila Sunrise,' 'Take It Easy,' 'Desperado,' and 'Life in the Fast Lane' ...

Grapefruit Moon: The Songs Of Tom Waits

by: Southside Johnny, La Bamba's Big Band

Editorial Product Review:Album Description:Grapfruit Moon: The Songs of Tom Waits is Southside's tribute to one of his favorite songwriters, but also a pet sound: big band music. The idea to marry the brassy, ballsy sound of a big band to Tom Waits' cinematic, character-driven songs has been sitting in the back of Southside's mind for sometime.

Editorial Product Review: essential recording:As much as any record, CSN's 1969 debut ushered in the early '70s singer-songwriter boom. Yes, this was a group, but it was one made up of three coequal composer/vocalists, each with a heady resume--Crosby an ex- Byrd, Stills in Buffalo Springfield, and Nash a former member of the Hollies. Each supplied distinctive material and contributed to CSN's trademark harmonies. The addition of Neil Young made the supergroup an edgier outfit. There's a purity to the original ...

The Allman Brothers at Fillmore East

by: The Allman Brothers Band

Editorial Product Review: essential recording:There has never been a better showcase for improvisational rock than this 1971 concert recording, and few (if any) live rock albums are in its rank. With only two studio albums (and plenty of touring) under their belt, the Georgia sextet tore into the Fillmore East with road-tested buoyancy. Titanic guitarist Duane Allman was at the peak of his powers, pushing his foil, Dickey Betts, to unsurpassed peaks. Vocalist-keyboardist Gregg Allman would have been a star in ...

Usually we're fans of Logitech's gaming mice, but its highest-end G9 Laser Mouse is expensive, overly complex, and lacks the ergonomic thought we've come to expect. If you like to brag about dot-per-inch limits, perhaps the G9's 3,200dpi laser will be enough to sell you, but for the price, we expect the design to match.

While compact and convenient, Panasonic's SD-based SDR-S150 camcorder doesn't make the quality cut.
